PM4 SMP model proposed for system reliability criticality assessment and maintainability improvement

This paper gives a practical systematic approach towards the maintenance procedure optimisation of critical industrial unit in operation, to improve its maintainability. The resolution maintainability challenge (Vibrating screen - VSU) was realised by performing two-phase analysis, encompassing criticality and assessment. assessment comprised failure investigation using fault tree analysis (FTA), vulnerability reliability block diagram (RBD), mode effect (FMECA). Furthermore, performed on improvement opportunities were identified. A generic model (PM4 Model) conceptualised used mean time repair (MTTR) through well-documented standard (SMP).
